By request, here's the result of the first round for me. I don't remember exactly how they did the f/s thing way back when, so I just decided to be silly. Curses to

Citizens of Cyprefs River are warned to keep watch and be Vigilant for the most Fierce threat to come forth from the French Quarter of New Orleans Louisiana. Hiding within the watery bowelf of the Fwamp is the vicious higwayman The Pannier Princefs, known to Intercept travvelerf upon the highway between Cyprefs River and Soggy Bend and seaparate them from their valuablef. The robber appears as a gaudily drefsed young lady, claiming distrefs. But do not believe her! Thif is no lady, but a man who shall pull forth from his high poudered wig a piftol and rob you of your moneys.
