nonionay(This is old. My internet access is seriously limited for the moment. :-P )
I spent a lot of yesterday sitting on the floor. That's what I'm doing right now, and what I will be doing until next weekend when I can bring my furniture.
I wandered Queen Anne and wondered what I'd do with myself. I did get a couple movies (Yojimbo; Arsenic and Old Lace) but was feeling lonely. My tentative pings into my social circle hadn't come back with offers of hanging out. (Granted, these pings consisted of me texting people with "I'm an official resident of Seattle!" and hoping they'd say, "let's hang out!") But I did ask J if he was doing anything tomorrow. He was, but he wasn't doing anything tonight. And that's how I ended up eating grocery store Chinese on the floor of my new apartment with an old friend I've only seen three times in the past two years.
I walked him down the hill to his bus stop. Finding the right stop took a little wandering, but we found it in front of Key Arena. The supermoon was out and looming beautifully over the Space Needle. Suddenly,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
kehrli appears with two bearded Australians, one of whom is a woman. They were looking for food, having just watched/officiated over the roller derby at Key Arena.
So I joined them, and got to enjoy the social life I've been looking forward to.
Now I'm sitting on the floor in my mother's old sleeping bag, waiting for my dad to show up with the stuff I had in Poulsbo. This doesn't mean furniture, but it does mean I'll have boxes to use as a laptop stand!
Today, my plan is to wander east towards the arboretum and have a picnic.
