Feb. 27th, 2011 10:15 amHey there! Life goes on.
First off, is there anyone out there who knows a lot about WWII era Japan, who I could bounce alt-history ideas off of?
I've been pretty dry lately, writing-wise, and I've accepted that. I'm reading a lot, and conserving my energy. But yesterday we watched The King's Speech, which got my mind twitching a little bit about my alt-WWII fantasy, and then I watched Iron Man, which actually gave me plot/structure ideas. Now I just need to do some more worldbuilding. Anyway, it feels nice to have the juices flowing again. I need to build it up for Rainforest, which is later this week.
Otherwise, life's been mostly boring, with occasional bits of interest:
--I donated blood on Thursday, for the first time in thirteen years. They missed the vein, and so had to switch to the other arm, leaving me with symmetrical elbow stigmata.
--Friday, I printed a banner for a couple ecstatic Libyans.
--I joined a union. (A graphics worker union that uses Comic Sans on its address labels.) In April, I have to ditch work for an afternoon to go to Tukwila for initiation.
