Back in Bellingham, getting cheap Chinese food from Haggen is a guilty pleasure. Getting the same from Safeway, I just discovered, is gross and leaves my mouth a little numb. (Is that the msg stripping off the top layer of tongue cells?) D:
To top it off, my fortune cookie said, "You should be able to make money and hold on to it," which I immediately took as a chastisement and not a prediction of my future. Well screw you, fortune cookie. Screw you.

I've always felt the other way 'round. Safeway China Express, I find OK when I want some bad Chinese food, but the stuff from Haggen, I couldn't stand.
