Today in the free book box, I found a copy of the August 11, 1969 Newsweek, the one featuring the Apollo 11 moon landings. It's not worth anything, but it's still cool to have. It also contains: the Chappaquadick scandal, Nixon in Thailand, Elvis in Las Vegas, and a whole lotta ads for alcohol and cigarettes.
One of the more interesting things in it is the fact that the magenta ink on the inside of the cover is leaking through to the outside.
It also contains an ad for NCR. I didn't know it existed back then I also thought it stood for Non-Carbon something, but I guess it's National Cash Register.

National Cash Register! The precurser to IBM! I remember hearing a story about how the president liked to fire people with a big theatrical flair, like setting their desk on the law and lighting it on fire when they came to work.

One of those guys he fired went and formed IBM, which later bought out NCR. :)
