Oct. 27th, 2009 03:09 pmToday in the free book box, I found a copy of the August 11, 1969 Newsweek, the one featuring the Apollo 11 moon landings. It's not worth anything, but it's still cool to have. It also contains: the Chappaquadick scandal, Nixon in Thailand, Elvis in Las Vegas, and a whole lotta ads for alcohol and cigarettes.
One of the more interesting things in it is the fact that the magenta ink on the inside of the cover is leaking through to the outside.
It also contains an ad for NCR. I didn't know it existed back then I also thought it stood for Non-Carbon something, but I guess it's National Cash Register.
