Just after sunset, there was a beautiful waxing quarter moon. I got out the telescope and had a look. The moon moves fast, so there was a lot of readjusting, but it was beautiful. Taking a page from
joe_haldeman, I got out my sketchbook and sketched some craters at the northernmost tip of the crescent. I've dug out my lunar atlas, am messing with Google Earth's moon view, and have the craters narrowed down to a few. I got them at a magnificently extreme light angle, so the maps I have on hand don't show them the same.
