I was trying to remember if I'd watched a Presidential inauguration before. I couldn't think of any until I remembered, duh I would have been in school at the time. So now I do remember seeing Clinton sworn in the first time, because I was in Junior High, Advanced Social Studies, sitting in my special seat. There weren't enough desks in the normal seating area, so I got to sit on the side, under the window, away from all the other kids. Score!

That was the class where we watched Channel One every morning. I remember how novel it was having a tv bolted to the wall.

Likely the only reason I remember that day is because it was the Inauguration Day Storm! The power went out right after the ceremony, and we got to goof off for the next several hours, breaking into the emergency preparedness kit, eating all the granola bars and trying to teach ourselves pinochle, because there weren't any other card packs in the darned thing.

Haha, we watched Clinton on One in my third grade class! But it cut out halfway when the power went out.
