George Carlin
Jun. 23rd, 2008 09:01 amGeorge Carlin, RIP
I first encountered George Carlin in high school during Accelerated Non-Western Civilization. My teacher, Mr. Bressan, resembled Carlin in both looks and manner. This was the class where the first thing he did was make us read Thoreau's Civil Disobedience. That was the class that made me rethink the absolute stance of my religion and made me start thinking for myself.
I don't remember which George Carlin video he made us watch--I think it was Seven Words you Can't Say On Television--but it helped make me who I am today.
