This morning, I finished the first draft of an honest-to-god, not-in-the-Big-World short story. I'm submitting it to an anthology put out by Blind Eye Books. The deadline's the end of the month, and I only just found out about it. But I was able to take one of the results of our Wednesday night writing exercises and turn it into an angsty gay story that doesn't involve AIDS. I almost gave in. It was really tempting. But no AIDS for me. I've got ironic car-wrecks. We'll see if it's any good tonight when I go back to edit it.
