like to increase some of the ways we could -- I hope-- make your story more
popular with our readers. Since we market primarily erotic romance, we'd
want to strengthen both the erotic and romance details in your story. I
like your world very much, but I'd like the hero and heroine to develop a
stronger romantic and erotic bond in the story with more graphic detail
about the feelings and the sex between them and to shape your hero to be at
least eventually more likeable to the reader.

I'm not sure how amenable you would be to doing that, so I thought I should
ask before we make a decision on your ms."

Go for it! If anything, it will be good practice for elements I think you've been talking about wanting to make stronger in your stories anyway.

that sucks! (i should probably be reading it soon, now that I'm out of school for a few weeeks) it's up to you whether you're willing to change it or not, but I have to give them points for asking, at least, knowing that you may not want to do it. And was pretty polite about it...
