Apr. 29th, 2007 01:09 pmMy website is pretty much done.
There's still a couple of bumpy spots, and I may redo all of it when I re-install Dreamweaver. But there it is.
I like my photoshop art. Nyah :-P

Date: 2007-04-29 10:23 pm (UTC)I really like the main page (it's so pretty ;_;). I'm not so sure I like the background changing for each page, but whatever.

Um, yeah. It'll be nice to see what's behind the art gallery!
I'm sorry, but no. :(
Date: 2007-04-30 05:54 am (UTC)- I don't like the image maps on all the pages--I think after your splash/menu page you should have text pages so it loads quickly for people using wireless or dialup. Even though most people have fast connections, if you're going for "professional" then even someone with a fast connection (like me) will notice you didn't care about people with slow connections, and go "Huh."
- I dislike that if I go to Writing, and then click on Samples, I'm blocked out of clicking on "writing" again even though I wanted to click on projects next. I have to go back to home and click writing again, and that's one more click than I want >:|
- When you have a list of titles like the "reading," it's annoying if we cannot click them, or at the very least, cut and paste them if we wanted to look them up on Amazon and buy them. You're forcing us to type the whole thing out. Once again, I know it shouldn't matter, but if you make a website your job is to make everything as easy as possible for the user--saying "It's not that big of a deal" might be true, but it's unprofessional. Don't make us type anything except username/passwords, and never make us click more than 3 times to get to content.
- Same thing for your convention schedule. We should be able to go "Ooh you'll be there? Click" and then sign up, but instead we have to remember what it's called, flip to Google and then look it up.
It looks pretty, but it's not userfriendly. Keep the main page though, that's awesome. When you install Dreamweaver, you can use the templates to build a footer out of the "art | writing | news" part, so you can change it on every page by changing one file, in case you add/delete a section, and that way you can also use a photoshop background on all the pages. You can even use a javascript to change the background image every time it loads, if you want to display more art--that way Writing can have a pink swirly background once and the next time the user visits, it might display your green tree thing.
Anyway, just add more function and it will be great.

Date: 2007-05-01 12:49 pm (UTC)Also, the Projects link is broken - I don't know if you meant to have that up already or not.
This also serves to remind me that I need to have a page up soon, myself, if just to have a "yep I exist" thing on the internet.
However, I can't make webpages for shit - Moralicide.com is the best of my abilities, and I had to bribe Ecto for a php script and use frames to get it to work. :\
