I spent last ight editing The Knife's Edge, instead of critiquing. I spent today reading Horatio Hornblower instead of critiquing, and tonight I'll probably spend watching FMA instead of critiquing. I swear, tomorrow the first thing I do will be finish the crits I owe people, and then cut my porn into chapters. :S

In other news, I'm listening to a song off an African sampler CD entitled "Rhinoceros." The artist is listed as "An actual rhinoceros."

I think it sounds more like a whale.

(And now I have to run off to the library to get the next Hornblower book. Damn C.S. Forester and his disgustingly awesome Mary Sue pulling an Empire Strikes Back.)

Hornblower is apparently absolutely atrocious when it comes to authenticity in any way. If that matters. But I always thought it looked like a fun read anyway. Proof that the qualities of good writing don't necessarily involve knowledge or research.

Really? I've heard really good things about it, and it fits with the stuff I've read. But whether it is or not, it sure makes you feel like you're there.
