Dream

I was wandering around New York City, having just arrived. I realized it was the middle of the day, but I wasn't supposed to get in until night. I wondered what had gone wrong, then realized I needed to go to my hostel. So I set off trying to get to the hostel. I went into a building, to ask where it was. In there, there was a bunch of Asians giving out free food. They said they were having a party celebrating the release of their movie. I took some food, but felt slightly guilty about not hanging around at the party, since there wasn't many people there. Then I got distracted by a bunch of people watching a Charlie Brown movie. Some guy came in and admonished us for staying inside when it was such a beautiful day. So I got up and headed off. A bunch of people told me it was just at the end of this path. Somehow we were in a car driving there. I wondered how this had happened, since I had to walk down the path. Then I woke up. also, there was one part where Avalokitesvara was there, on top of a building, then she jumped down the side after something she had tossed off. It didn't fall all the way, it would just fall down to the next ledge. In my dream, she appeared as this old balck woman, even though Avalokitesvara is actually male. Later the Buddhists feminized her into Kuan Yin.
