Sep. 5th, 2007 10:07 pmI just watched The Prestige with Keffy. Now, there were a few moments when my suspension of disbelief was shattered, or the torments the characters were put through became too much. I knew it was going to be a long movie, and I was tempted to turn it off. But it had so many cool things, and I was looking forward to David Bowie, so we kept going.
I'm glad I did.
Let's just say, the kind of fucked-uppery going on in this movie is the reason I write, the reason I read books or watch movies. Perhaps, even, the very reason I exist!
And I even might say I'm glad for the faults, because during some boring on-screen dialogue, Keffy and I gleefully discussed the fucked-uppery.
