Momentous occasion

My parents are talking to my grandfather who is in the hospital for his heart. My mom has long had a negative view of her parents in her schizophrenic mind. But now that her eighty eight year old father is not doing too well, she is worried, even if she has trouble showing it. But today she has been amazingly lucid, and she asked to speak to my grandfather, (though she still calls him Dick, not Dad.) except for a few words, everything she said could have come out of anyone else not schizophrenic. My grandfather is very sensitive, and we think that those few words from her could help immensely. We’ve just had a very happy moment in our family history.
