In other modest revelations:
I think I don't make a big deal out of objectifying people because I see Divinity in everything, even the most mundane objects. I hold a pair of scissors in the same spiritual regard as my boyfriend. But then, I suspect many people have a different definition of Divinity than I.
modest revelation #2: Rapture and Rape come from the same root, the Latin raptu, which means, to seize, or carry off. That explains a lot.
Ah, look, a new spider has moved into the corner above my desk. That place seems to be taken by many different kinds of spiders.
More on the spiders:

So now we have, in our collection:
Big Window spider: female garden (orange with a white cross) spider with a beautiful huge orb web across the big window in our loft/bedroom. She's kept down the bug population of our room wonderfully. I also suspect she's the same spider that spun a huge web in front of our door that I walked into once.
Bower Spider: Right above the Big Window, in the peak of the loft. What kind she is, I don't know, she's big and hairy and dark, and has a positivly huge (foot across, about) bower of silk that she can very rarely be seen in. J has a quiet agreement with her that she won't come out much, and he won't spackle her into her hole.
Clock spider: teeny spider with a web in front of the clock.
Shower spider: One of those house spiders with a teeny body, and long, long spindly legs. It's down in the corner, and the water just barely hits it. I like it, and it isn't in danger, so I leave it be, unlike the big spiders that like to hide behind the shower curtain, which I shake everytime I get in.
Water pipe spider. There's been a few of these, it dwells behind the hot water pipe beneath our sink. One had the great misfortune of having rubbing alcohol dumped on it by J.
Misc. Invisible Spider Room Spiders: We have a tiny closet that is a foyer of the back door that is never used. it is full of cardboard and junk, is never opened, and is full of spiders. last I checked, there was a magnificent dome a few feet across in there with a spindly spider in it. I was able to get the vacuum out without destroying it.
And of course, the Window spiders: A bunch of spiders, mainly little ones with widow-shaped bodies dwell in the outside edges of the window by J's computer. The greatest of these was a female garden spider, who was recently courted by a male. They led a happy couple-like life for a while, The male vanished, and is probably curled up in a corner dead somewhere, his purpose in life over. The female vanished, but we think she's back, living a few feet up.
