Landmarks of my childhood

So I'm researching The Montana Book, perusing Google Street View, which has expanded since I last explored the valley with it. Now, I can see that, sweet bejeezus, this withered old snag that was a withered old snag twenty five years ago when I was still a kid visiting my grandparents in Montana is still standing. It's weird what sticks with you.

Totally cool and I can really relate. I was just looking over Google maps of my mom's home town of Pateros, Washington. They don't have street views yet, but I'm pretty sure I've indentified my Grandmother's house and Aunt's house (both moved out long ago). I've even convinced Amanda to let me take a family road trip next summer to check the old place out if I'm really going to place a story there.
