Finally, the proper convergence of camera, batteries and stuff to take pictures of has occurred. I've been fidgeting with iPhoto, and am questioning it's usefulness. Does anyone have experience with it? I don't like their keyword system--I just want to tag pics with whatever I feel like, rather than having to laborously add the names of every person I know to the keywords list first. I also want to type up a description of the picture so I don't forget what the hell it is. Can I do this simple thing in iPhoto?

Are there other cheap/free programs for the Mac which are better?

Unfortunately, I have not used iPhoto on my Mac. However: if you ever need help with iMovie or iDVD, I'm your dude.

Also, yours (and your housemates)' holiday card from me is on its way, plus a zombie-related item--which I hope provides some amusement!
