This weekend was an interesting one. I picked up the so-called death vase from Creativitea. (Pictures will follow someday, I swear!) It turned out really nice.
Sunday, as it turns out, was full of death.
One of my friends lost his brother to a drunk driver Sunday morning, and I had to euthanize my sick tetra, which rebounded from its previous shrinkage, and looked like it was bleeding internally.

Despite the death, and missing a couple of much-anticipated events (pretty much due to my lack of a car, I admit) I had a nice, productive weekend.

How does one euthanize a fish? Put it in the freezer or something?

I didn't put it in the freezer, but I did put it in freezing water. It seemed to shock into senselessness right away. I've heard using clove oil to anesthetize it is good, but Haggen didn't have any.
