nonionay | caffeine and blocks

I think I've figured out the source of my writers block. it's not plot this time, since I know what's happening. I think that since I've been barreling along, getting the plot out of the way, I've suddenly become ungrounded. So I spent this morning reading Lolita and stirring up my love of detail and beautiful prose.

And then there's the fact that I've decided to break the caffeine addiction. I'm a diet soda person, rather than a coffee drinker, and I usually have only one or two cans a day. Now, I've been cutting back. I'll drink a few sips from a 20oz bottle in the morning, and suffer the rest of the day. I went all day yesterday without any, and suffered clear of the headaches. Today I'm just a little drowsy and achy. Since I've been doing all right this past week.
Today I bought another bottle to take a few sips from, but I hoped my co-worker wouldn't notice. I feel like an alcoholic.

And in other news, my hair is officially long enough to tuck in my back pocket.
