I think I must suddenly be a wizard like Harry Dresden, since machinery is breaking down around me at an unnatural rate. Cell phones, cashiers, now machines at work.

It's uh... kind of annoying.

I had about a five day period once during which any store security system I walked through, even one which the cashier admitted was not in use, would go off. There was no article of clothing, jewlery, or anything else in common between all the times it happened. I'd narrowed it down to either having somehow swallowed an anti-theft device without knowing it or some kind of really useless psychic powers by the time it stopped happening...
