Oct. 13th, 2010 08:52 pmOkay, so the current bane of my existence is my internet connection. I've been having issues with it for a while. First, it would freeze up on me, and I'd have to restart my Airport. But now (after switching over to whatever new form of internet we've got) that doesn't make a difference. My internet is completely erratic. Sometimes it works just fine, other times, not at all.
Some poking around the internet suggested I add DNS servers. At first, I thought that worked, but I was wrong. It's only a problem on my laptop combined with my home connection. (Plugging in direct doesn't make a difference, so it's not the wireless.) Changing browsers doesn't make a difference. My iPod works fine, my roommates' connections work fine.
I wonder if it has something to do with the security (currently WPA). I'd try to mess with it, but I have absolutely no idea how.
Anyone more knowledgeable than me have any ideas, or should I just hunker down and call Comcast?
