Clarion #5
Jul. 25th, 2009 01:54 pmWent to Clarion Party #5 last night, set beneath the awesome communication towers on Capitol Hill. Those things are full of dystopian sf goodness, at least from the steep angle we were at.
I found myself irrationally irritable last night (probably from some combination of PMS, hunger, caffeine withdrawal and the goddammed humidity.) I suspect I was at the peak of my bitchiness as we were heading into
jaylake's reading at the University Bookstore. The clock in Keffy's car is ten minutes slow (a fact I've only just gotten used to.) According to it, the time was 7pm, meaning, 7:10 pm. So I'm flipping out a little bit because traffic was shit and hello, we're ten minutes late. But everyone else was dawdling and I was pissing them off. We get in and there's like four people there, and Jay's sitting placidly in the front row, in no hurry to start. Turns out Keffy fixed his dang car clock.
The party itself, after the reading, consisted of me and a few others jumping eagerly up and down outside in the rain while mocking everyone who rushed inside.
